Match to your engagement ring — shaped, fitted, contoured
The most-requested women's wedding band at President Jewellers is one designed specifically to sit against an existing engagement ring. We offer three approaches. Shaped to fit. CAD-designed to follow the underside contour of your engagement ring — typically curved to clear a halo or three-stone setting. Soldered set. The wedding band is permanently joined to the engagement ring, becoming a single piece — popular when the engagement ring rotates on the finger. Stacked separate. A straight band designed to sit flush against the engagement ring without permanent joining — the most flexible choice; you can wear the wedding band alone if desired. Plain bands — the four profiles
Court. Curved external, curved internal — comfortable, balanced, the most-chosen UK profile. D-shape. Curved external, flat internal — slim modern look. Flat-court. Flat external, curved internal — contemporary feel with court comfort underneath. Knife edge. A sharper, V-profile band that catches light differently from rounded profiles — modern, distinctive. Widths from 1.5mm (very fine, stacking-ring style) to 4mm (substantial, often paired with bolder engagement rings). Hallmark stamps on the inner band: 950 (platinum), 750 (18ct gold), 585 (14ct), 375 (9ct).
Diamond-set bands — half eternity, full eternity, channel and pavé
Roughly half of the women's wedding bands we make are diamond-set. The principal configurations: Half eternity. Diamonds across the top half of the band only — the most-chosen because it can be resized later if needed. Typically 0.30ct-0.80ct total. Full eternity. Diamonds around the entire band — most dramatic look but cannot be resized after manufacture (it has to be remade). Channel set. Diamonds sit between two metal rails, flush with the band surface — clean, robust, snags less on clothing. Pavé set. Tiny grain beads hold each stone — more sparkle, slightly more delicate, requires periodic check-ups. Miracle set. Each diamond mounted in a reflective metal cup that makes it appear larger — common in 9ct gold bands at lower price points.
Vintage and milgrain — period-influenced wedding bands
Vintage-influenced wedding bands have been the strongest design trend at the Hatton Garden workshop over the past three years. Milgrain edge. A row of tiny metal beads running along the edge of the band — an Edwardian and Art Deco signature. Filigree shoulders. Open metalwork patterns inset into the band, often diamond-set. Cathedral cut-outs. Geometric cut-outs in the band — Art Deco influence. Engraved scroll. Hand-engraved or laser-cut floral and geometric patterns along the surface of the band. Every vintage-influenced design is made new in our workshop; the pieces look antique but are newly crafted.

Can a diamond eternity wedding band be resized?
Half-eternity bands (diamonds on the top half only) can be resized because the underside is solid metal that can be cut and re-soldered. Full-eternity bands (diamonds all the way around) cannot be resized after manufacture — the entire ring would have to be remade. For this reason we strongly recommend half-eternity over full-eternity for women in their 30s and 40s, where finger size is most likely to change over the next two decades. Full-eternity is a beautiful choice for occasion or anniversary rings where future resizing is unlikely.

How long does a bespoke women's wedding band take?
7 to 14 business days from when you approve the silver sample. The first 2-4 days are CAD design and your review. Days 5-7 produce the silver or wax sample sent to your home for try-on. Once you approve, casting takes 3-5 days, finishing 2-3 days, and London Assay Office hallmarking adds 1-2 days. Free insured UK delivery on every order.
